Ranga Rajan Thiruvenkatachari is a Ph.D. graduate from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California Riverside (UCR).
He gained foundational knowledge in Air Quality monitoring, control and modelling after obtaining a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM).
His Masters project formed the basis of the Vehicular Soot Remover.
His research focuses on investigating major air pollution sources using measurements, and then by the development and application of a variety of atmospheric dispersion models.
His research includes estimating the emissions of methane, a major greenhouse gas, from manure lagoons in dairy farms.
His research also involved estimating the mitigating impact of near-freeway noise barriers on the dispersion of vehicular emissions from freeways.
