Dr. Dheeraj Alshetty
Co-Founder & Director
Dheeraj Alshetty is the co-founder and director of Envitran smart systems private limited.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from VTU.
He has completed Phd and MTech program in environmental engineering from IIT Madras.
Prior to joining the Master’s program, Dheeraj had worked as senior engineer in one of the leading MNC’s in India, where he was responsible for Quality assurance and Quality control of a multi-storey building construction.
Understanding the importance of air quality and occupational exposure to air pollution in mega cities of India, he decided to move onto research field, after an experience of two years in the construction industry.
Research Interests
- Urban air pollution management and Emission inventory, dispersion modeling and source apportionment are some of his research expertise. He is currently working as an Air Quality Scientist at Environmental Defense Fund.
